LT Control Cables

GEEKORE offers Control Cables for 0.6 /1.1 kV application with control diameter and weight. Our extensive experience in designing and manufacturing of multi-core and control cables, supports our customers in meeting their requirement of standard or custom made construction of cables. These cables are being used in following applications:

• Power plants,
• Processing plants,
• Power drives,
• Switchgear,
• Defence and submarines etc.

Conductor

Multi-strand or solid, Electrolytic grade, soft and annealed copper conductor meet requirement as per IS 8130, BS EN 60228, VDE 0295 and IEC 60228

Insulation

• PVC, Confirming to IS 5831, BS 5831-2; rated temperature upto 70 deg C; insulation resistance aprox 60-70 MΩxkm; flexible or
• HRPVC, Confirming to IS 5831, BS 5831-2; rated temperature upto 85 or 105 deg C; insulation resistance aprox 60-70 MΩxkm or
• XLPE, Confirming to IS 7098, rated temperature upto 90 deg C and insulation resistance in the range of 1000 MΩxkm or
• LDPE, Confirming to BS5308-I, rated temperature 70 deg C and insulation resistance in the range of 1000 MΩxkm

Core identification

Core will be identified with their different color. If the number of cores goes beyond 5, core can be number coded too.

Screening

• 100% coverage by Aluminized mylar tape, inner side conductive and outer side non-conductive in connection with Annealed Tinned Copper drain (size usually 0.5 sq mm) for better conductivity.
• Upto 85% coverage by annealed tinned copper braiding with superior conductivity.
• As per requirement cable can be single or double shielded.

Inner sheath and Outer sheath

• PVC, Confirming to IS 5831, BS 5831-2; rated temperature upto 70 deg C.
• FRLS PVC, Confirming to IS 5831, BS 5831-2; rated temperature upto 85 deg C; Flame retardant, low smoke.
• ZHFR (or HFFR or LSZH), Halogen content is at very low level, upto 85 deg C, Flame retardant, very low smoke
• PUR, Confirming to VDE 281, rated temperature upto 80 deg C; highly abrasion resistant, FRLS property also available; radiation resistance, UV, water and oil resistant

Armoring

Armoring by galvanized iron wire or strip being done between inner and outer sheath.
